Review of Suspension & Expulsions in Schools

The Department of Education (DE) has initiated a review of the current arrangements for suspensions and expulsions in schools in Northern Ireland. DE would like parents to share their knowledge and experience in identifying issues with the current suspension and expulsion arrangements; any proposals for a better way of doing things which will contribute to the achievement of the project objectives.

The responses provided will remain confidential to DE and Parenting NI project teams and data will be held securely. Anonymised data will be used for reporting purposes within DE and Parenting NI so please feel free to be as honest as you can be in your feedback.

It should take no more than 15 minutes to complete, if you don’t want to answer a question, you can skip to the next one or you can withdraw from the survey at any point, although we would encourage you to complete the survey in full.
